Joyful's Caroling Emporium

A famous elf named Buddy once said,
"The best way to spread Christmas cheer, is to sing loud for all to hear!"

Caroling

Elves love to sing and Christmas caroling is another great way to spread the magic of Christmas. You can throw a caroling party with family and friends, youth group, scout group. You can go around your neighbor hood, retirement apartments, even hospitals. A caroling party can be simple or elaborate, but there are a few ideas to make your caroling party joyful.
  •  Plan ahead
  • Pick a date and time. Just about anytime between Thankgiving and Christmas will work, but usually weekends are easier. If your caroling in your neighborhood, you'll want to go between 6 and 8. Be sure to contact places like nursing homes to find out times that they would want you there.
  •  Use your elf skills and make festive invitations to send out. Pick out the songs and send a list with the invitaitons. Have a place to meet up and return to. Everyone will want to warm up afterwards and enjoy some holiday treats.
  • Have things ready to go, like sheet music, jingles bells, flash lights or lanterns.
  • Make it Fun!
  • Get the elf apprentice kitchen fired up and get to baking and cooking. Cookies, finger foods, and a hot coco bar will make it a party.
  • Dress warm and festive. You could really get into it and wear costumes. Victorian or elf
Caroling is on the decline. In a survey done in 1996 found 22% of people said they had plans to go Christmas caroling over the holidays. In 2005 only 5% said they were. Caroling is a great traditions and spreads so much Christmas joy to others. We as elf apprentices need to help reernergize the caroling traditions.
